How should I apply Powderma?
Simply sprinkle a little of the powder into your hands and blend into your skin. For those hard to reach areas, we also offer the Plush Body Brush, a soft-spun cotton applicator. Watch our video on How to Apply Powderma Acne Treatment to treat back acne.
How often should I apply Powderma Acne Treatment?
It is safe to use daily to treat acne on your face and body, or as a fast-acting spot treatment. If you have mild acne or experience any sensitivity, it is safe to reduce the number of treatments to 3 times per week or as needed. Should you experience dry or itchiness, you can apply a light, non-comedogenic moisturizer like Aveeno's Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Dry Skin.
When should I apply the Acne Treatment?
Powderma is most effective after your shower. However, because our acne treatment is a powder, it can also be used while you are out to reduce any shininess from the oils on your skin, acting as a light foundation at the same time.
Is Powderma safe?
Yes, Powderma is a safe, over-the-counter medicated powder that is effective for all skin types and for both adults and teens who suffer from acne. Powderma is non-comedogenic, contains no talc, parabens, dyes or fragrances and is specifically formulated to not over dry your skin or cause sensitivity to the sun. None of the active ingredients in Powderma are contraindicated during pregnancy. However, we recommend that you consult your physician before using any medication during pregnancy or while nursing. Avoid using any strong astringents or over cleansing your skin. Doing so can possibly lead to skin irritation. Powderma is for external use only.
Does Powderma contain talc?
Powderma does NOT contain talc.
Can I use the powder acne treatment as a spot treatment or facial mask?
Yes! Powderma works very well at reducing the healing time and removing redness and inflammation on those pesky pimples that appear overnight. Our acne treatment can also be used to reduce the appearance of a breakout by acting as a light foundation while you are out.
You can also combine Powderma with water or a gentle cleanser like witch hazel to create a quick and effective facial mask. Your mask will absorbs dirt, oil and bacteria from your pores while cleaning your skin at the same time. (Avoid contact with eyes. Powderma is for external use only).
Can Powderma eliminate acne scars?
Powderma can reduce the appearance of scarring from previous breakouts. It will also greatly improve your skin tone, even out your complexion, eliminate redness from existing pimples, and give your skin an overall healthier look and feel. Additionally, it will greatly reduce the chances of any future acne scars.
Is Powderma effective at clearing up body / back acne?
Absolutely. In fact, used with our Plush Body Brush, our back acne treatment is particularly popular with body / back acne sufferers because it is so easy to apply and works so well. It will not bleach your clothes, it lightly exfoliates your skin, and it goes on soft and is gentle on your skin, but is powerful and effective on bacne.
Can I use the Plush Body Brush to apply Powderma Acne Treatment to my back and body?
The Plush Body Brush makes an excellent applicator for applying the acne treatment to those hard to reach areas. You simply sprinkle some of the medicated powder onto the soft 100% cotton head and apply where needed.
Can I use the Plush Body Brush in the shower or bath as a body scrubber?
Yes. The Plush Body Brush is water safe and makes an excellent body brush. In fact, it is much more effective than the typical hard plastic bristled brush or scrubbers, as it will not scratch your skin. We recommend using one Plush Body Brush in the shower and a separate, always dry brush for applying the back acne treatment.
How long will one bottle last?
If you use Powderma daily, one bottle will last you 30-60 days.
Can Powderma help with psoriasis?
Powderma has not been specifically tested for its effectiveness at clearing up psoriasis, however, we have received positive feedback regarding its application from customers and dermatologists.
